Description:

This measure assesses current and past use of prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications. Protocol obtains information about pain-relieving medications, statins, steroids, and inhaled bronchodilators.

Definition

Measure to assess current and past use of prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) pain-relieving medications, statins, steroids, anti-inflammatory medications, and inhaled bronchodilators

Purpose

Taking certain prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medication may modify cancer risk. Assessing current and past use of prescription and OTC medications will help quantify either increased or decreased risk associated with these medications.

Selection Rationale

This protocol was selected because it obtains information about current and past prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medication use potentially related to cancer risk.
